Magazines start planning their editorial content in July prior to the holiday issues that come out at the end of November. So if you want to be featured in them, now is the time to get to your editorial contacts, even though your thoughts might lean toward sipping a gin and tonic on your deck. In May or June, start thinking of what you are going to make for Fall and the holiday season. Normally I do trade shows and plan my lines around those dates, but if you do not do the shows you need to be thoughtful of the various deadlines since most PR and buying is based on the show schedules.
I just sent some editors images, descriptions and price information for the earrings and necklaces Pam Older Designs is going to make for Fall/Winter. It gave me the impetus to start planning the rest of the line now!
